A Wish for 2014

For the rabble at "X Marks the Scot"
Here's a cheerful New Year's Wish:
That we all look dapper in our kilts
With just the right amount of swish…

That we get to mix from time to time
At kilt nights where we share
The stories of our adventures
In the tartans that we wear.

That we stand out in a crowd
In which admiring ladies glance
Wondering if their men one day
Would wear a kilt himself perchance

That we chuckle at the wonder
At what's worn beneath…or not
And keep all our friends a-guessing
Just how cool we are…..or hot!

That we expand our comfort zone a bit
Just doing things we like
And wear a kilt into the office
Or on a sunny summer hike

That we discover the rich heritage
Of the Celts and all their clans
And toss a caper or throw a stone
As the Highland sports demand.

Where 'ere you live, where 'ere you go
Throughout the coming year
Enjoy your kilted ventures
And tell your stories to us here!
