A man on a mission
*Mods, if this belongs in the Highland Games discussion forum, please feel free to move*
I am located in Chicago, IL, USA. I attend the games here every summer and I have such a good time. I've just booked a hotel for my first time attending the Scottish Highland Games in St. Louis, Mo. I am excited to see another city's games and hopefully meet up with some of the local rabble.
I got to thinking that there are a few other games that are easy for me to get to by car. Either a day trip or at most an overnight. Since I enjoy the games so much, why not attend more of them? There are games in three surrounding states besides Missouri.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Davenport, Iowa
Indianapolis, Indiana
The Milwaukee games are this weekend, 8/30 and I am planning to make the drive up there if it's not storming, which it is supposed to do and I don't own wellies. It's about a 1.5 hour drive. The Davenport games are coming up in September as well as St. Louis. Then the Indianapolis games in October.
Does anyone else do this? Does anyone else try to attend several games each year?
