If a person's measurements require that the pleats taper in the fell, it might not even be possible to pleat to the stripe using either of the pivots, because the taper might cause vanishing stripes and "spear points" along the edges of the pleats (this, of course, depends on the size of the pleats relative to the sett size). This is not a problem with version 1.
I strongly recommend that someone do an analysis from a kiltmaker's perspective for the near-final version using the actual sett size before committing to an order. I'd be more than happy to do that for the group, if you want.
