Two last bits of weirdness, although one was quite cool.

As we left (the other) Connolly's we found a strange little bar attached to an Italian restaurant and stopped in. When we left there the hosetess asked me whay she saw so many people in kilts over the last couple of days. I told her it was because of the parade, and she said:

"Oh right, because of the Passover".

    You gotta love it.

The next day my wife and I went to Ellis Island to see the exhibit on Captain Kidd put on by Clan Currie. As we were walking up to the security checkpoint there was a man playing a steel drum. He was playing various island themed songs and generally adding to the flavor of the waterfront. When he saw me coming he stopped in mid song and started playing Scotland the Brave. That is the first time I had ever heard that played on a Steel Drum which was kind of cool. That got me to thinking, he had to already know the song and how to play it. It there some sort of connection that I have missed all these years?
