I received the MacLeod tartan today. It's gorgeous! It's 16oz twill but soft and much less scratchy than some other wools I've used. The selvedge is invisible.
I also bought some yellow canvas for the liner, some heavy thread, and curved needles.
I cut 8 yards at my length and zig zagged the top edge, so it wouldn't fray while I make the kilt. Everything else I'm going to hand stitch.
I have no idea if it will be ready for Kilts Night this Saturday. I hope so.
Well, if it is ready for kilts night, we'll see you coming........
