I don't know, I didn't order them, I picked them up at a booth at a Highland Games.
Actually I returned the first pair, because they were made to two wildly differing lengths! Probably one to kilt length, one to shooting length, I suppose. Then the guy grabbed another pair and we checked them to make sure they matched. Those hose are great.
I picked up a pair of claret hose, not Cheviot, and though the heels and toes have held they started getting that "pilling" all around near the tops of the shoes.
