    Got my kilt repaired!

    Howdy,

In January last year, I bought a used kilt that wasn't completely as advertised. The seller said that it had a small moth hole, and I found out after it arrived I discovered that it had a plethora of small moth holes...and one stinking BIG one on the under-apron.

Understandably, this made me sad. I put the kilt aeay, to consider my options. Several kind folks here made good suggestions which I took under advisement. Well, I finally did something about the situation.

I had a local seamstress add a patch to the under-apron on both sides of the damaged area to protect it. I had her use a pocket from a pair of cargo pants to make the patch, and it turned out great!

My kilt has been mended, and I have added functionality with the new pocket. I'm very happy with this repair!Click image for larger version.
