New 4 yard box pleat Culloden tartan kilt
The kilt is finally finished. Originally I intended this to be a 5 yard knife pleat but required a few inches more then I had due to a stupid mistake on my part. The first box pleat layout didn't work so well and after playing with the math a little came up with a better layout. Once I restarted it took about 3 weeks of a couple hours an evening and what time I could steal in the mornings.
I decided to only put a single strap on the right side and may discard it for Velcro as I mainly want to use it for hiking and want it easy and comfortable to throw on.

I am pleased with the overall results, a couple of the pleats don't match up perfectly, very small stair effect, but they come close enough to not be noticeable from a small distance and are a big improvement over my previous effort. The art of kilt making helped a lot with the details.
