tweed shooting waistcoat with kilt?
I've done several searches through old threads here and didn't find anything.
British tweed shooting/hunting waistcoats/gilets are so very practical, with handwarmer pockets and huge cargo pockets, water-resistant, quilted lining to keep you toasty warm, they come in nice-looking tweeds, and they're surprisingly inexpensive. I've seen a large number for well under $100 US, sometimes around $50 US.
Does anyone ever wear them with kilts? I can't remember seeing such, and I'm guessing the answer from our British friends will be "it isn't done".
They do look to be too long.
