Hand Knit Kilt Hose
After knitting a few pairs of garter ties, I decided to see if I could figure out how to knit a pair of kilt hose. I wanted to knit a pair for my son as I haven't found any locally that are small enough (he's six) and the youth ones I've found are either black or white. So, since I had some red yarn on hand, I started with the pattern here:

And tried to see how things went. The first sock was way too small but good practice for the pattern and tension. So, the next one and its mate turned out pretty well.

And, after weaving in the ends, he tried them out with his kilt.
