Just Getting Started, Full Speed Ahead!
Hello all! From a CT Kilter,
I have been very fascinated with finding my Scottish heritage ever since my father started digging (for my mother, he is not a Scot) years ago. Turns out, my grandfather is a Dair but my grandmother is a Doig. So long story short, and not by way of paternal (twice ) looks like I'm a Drummond or a small part.
After reading many of the posts here about which tartan you should wear, and how, why, if! I decided I liked the Drummond of Perth so I bought a kilt! Two actually, a 5 yard and an 8.
Now after wearing them many times (yes, even to go grocery shopping) I bought a 3rd, and a 4th, 5th and 6th (many of these in PV for wash and wear, all of them different, or just what I liked). What I need to find now is a dry cleaner that won't ruin my wool kilts! The search goes on...
But I digress, without all the help I learned here, I fear my kilt wearing would have been pinched by the kilt cops or worse.
So, Thank you!
Happy Kilting
