Oh I see! You wear a bow tie during the day in place of a drop down tie? Well yes , it's an option, but not seen very often with normal day attire with most people. But it is done, I suppose, but---------it's rarely seen with those wearing the kilt in the day. Well, in my experience anyway. There is no reason why you shouldn't though. However, I am not a fan of mixing tartans though, particularly if the different tartans------kilt and tie for example-------have no connection.
In passing, I have never developed a taste for Robbie Burns' writings, or, Haggis!
