Kilt hose pins
Hi,
Please help solve a mystery. These pins belonged to my Great Grandfather who came to America from Dunfermline, Scotland. Someone told me they are called “kilt hose pins” but not really sure. I can’t find any images or much information at all about kilt hose pins.
Attached to the back is an Order of Scottish clans pin, which was a mutual aid and cultural society.
Does anyone have information or images of kilt hose pins? Or are they just regular kilt pins? Would they hold flashes in place?
Thank you for any information!
