I mostly wear mine to work with long-sleeved, buttoned shirts with the sleeves rolled up. I always roll up my sleves if I don't have a tie on. The belt is a wide black one with a big, pewter celtic knot buckle. I now have an inexpensive three-tassel day sporran off of ebay, though I lust after one of Freelander Sporrano's sporrans as the 'reglar inexpensive ones just aren't big enough.
Shoes are black "jungle" boots with knee-high socks, pulled down to boot level.
For Easter (church and family brunch) I wore a white shirt with a solid dark blue tie (the kilt is a Black Watch). I had on the same belt and buckle as always, but wore a white fur, three tassel semi-formal sporran. I had on nice black rockport dress shoes and had the socks pulled up to over-the-calf. By the end of the day I was wishing I had garters and flashes, but I'll get 'em in time.
I've a wedding to attend later in the Spring and I'm not sure whether I'll use the event as an excuse to buy an Argyll jacket, or I'll just rent one.
