Great satire. We have gone overboard. I can say with certainty, that the last time I went through heathrow, kilted, mind you, that I could have easily had a good chunk of platique strapped to my nether regions and no-one would have been the wiser. What's more, is I had a back pack loaded with books that could have been explosive materials, that was just recieved a cursory look.

Basically, if we want true security, we need to look at the roots of the problem, not the outcome. Why are people attacking? What are their goals?
