ah, a lovely post. i've been into the mckenzies for aaaaages. i freakin love those guys. and i def think "lochd and loaded" is their best album. and i've seen the tossers three times - theyre right here in chicago. nice little band. and of course, DKM (their old stuff! cant stand the new singer), though i wish they had used their pipes more. i like flogging molly plenty as well. but of course, no one compares to the almighty pogues. absolutely brilliant. then (more for you, i spose, mike) i'v egot global threat, (old) virus, the business, oxymoron, sham 69, cockney rejects. lovely to see some other punk fans out there.

oh, and of course! how could i forget. shillelaigh law, of evanston, IL. ...wait, that's my band! haha, but seriously, seven-piece celtic folk-punk band - we just got a piper! how awesome is that! just popped out of the woodwork. so can anyone recommend some punk-caliber scottish songs we could do? i was thinking about doing a harder version of wild mountain thyme. anyway, huzzah for suggestions (esp with mp3s attached)! if i dont get responses, i'll just make a new post. thanks lads.
