I just got this email from David McSweeney and the other fine folks at www.Scottishkilts.net . I recently purchased a jacket and waistcoat from them, and cannot say enough good things about them. If you are looking for any kilt related products, have a look at a company that truly understands quality and the meaning of customer service.

Dear Customer,

Summer is upon us once again and we are currently basking in glorious sunshine. It's the perfect weather for putting on your casual kilt and we currently have a couple of fantastic offers on these lighter alternatives to the full kilt, including a limited number of 5 yard casual kilts in the beautiful Dress Gordon tartan http://scottishkilts.net/products/sc...ual_kilts.html for under £100 ($160). This special price is only available while stocks last.

We also continue to offer casual kilts in our Jura range for £149.95 ($240) http://scottishkilts.net/products/sc...ura_range.html and all other tartans for £164.95 ($260) http://scottishkilts.net/products/sc...ens_kilts.html. Remember all our kilts are made in Scotland, using worsted wool tartan cloth from the major UK tartan mills --- beware of cheap immitations and imports. For our full range of kilts see http://scottishkilts.net/store/scottish_kilts.html.

Kilt Jackets

Tweed jackets are great for summer wear and we have a great selection available from stock in Lovat Blue, Lovat Green and Charcoal. At under £165 ($260), or £195 ($310) including 5 button waistcoat these are exceptional value for money and a stylish alternative to standard Prince Charlie and Argyle jackets. All our jackets are made in the UK using only the finest quality materials and you can find our range of Scottish Jackets at http://scottishkilts.net/store/scottish_jackets.html.

We are also running a special offer on our Irish Kilkenny jackets this month. Our Kilkenny jackets are normally priced at £225 ($355), however, until the end of June we will be offering this jacket with waistcoat for £185 ($295) http://scottishkilts.net/products/ir.../kilkenny.html.

Hosiery Range Expanded

We have added several new colours to our range of kilt hose, which you will find here http://scottishkilts.net/store/coloured_kilt_hose.html. You will find colours to match all of our tweed jackets.

Support Scottish Manufacturing

All our kilts are made in Scotland from worsted wool woven in the UK, our jackets are made in the UK from 100% barathea wool and our pewter products are cast in Glasgow. We are proud of our Scottish Heritage and equally proud of the quality garments and goods we supply. The name of our web site is Scottish Kilts, and as the name infers it is only kilts made in Scotland that we will continue to supply.

You may be aware of the increasing number of cheap kilts offered on the internet. Many of these kilts are made from acrylic wool, are imported in bulk and are poorly made and ill fitting. The problem is that these imported kilts are often sold on the web using images of traditional kilts stolen from other web sites, indeed we are in the process of watermarking all our images to help protect ourselves.

We would ask that you be vigilant and if a web site is advertising a product for sale at a price significantly below that of another site, then there is a good chance that the product will be imported/sub standard. This is in no way meant as an indictment on imported products, it is merely a warning to be careful you know exactly what you are buying before you purchase. These kilts may be perfectly acceptable as a novelty item, but they should not be confused with traditional kilts, which are carefully crafted from high quality materials and built to last.

Thank you for your time,
The Scottish Kilts Team http://scottishkilts.net
