Which SW would fit me better?
A few months ago, I bought and returned a Stillwater HW, mostly because of concerns with how hot it would be in So.Cal. (I didn't realize how heavy "heavy" was.) While I had it, I noted that I had to have it at the outside notch on the straps, meaning it was just barely big enough. That was a 36".
I finally decided to get a standard model and, figuring that it would fit better, ordered a 38".
On the tightest notch, it feels a bit loose.
My question is, would the thickness of the previous kilt have affected the measurement so that comparison for size would be invalid? Would a 36" Standard fit differently than HW? Should I go ahead and send this back for a 36"?
I know some have said that altering size is a relativly simple task, but sewing isn't something I know anything about, so if thats the answer, are there any recomendations for an experienced tailor in OC Ca.?
