Hi All,
I am an new UKer and last night I think the Kilt may have saved a
life. I was driving along a street in downtown Ottawa, Ontario when
I witnessed a man beating up a woman. This of course is just wrong
so I promptly stopped the car and jumped out (wearing my new Mocker
and combat boots). Unknown to me at the time the assailant had just
finished stabbing the current victim's boyfriend several times,
critically wounding him. At the sight of me, and I am sure the kilt
had a lot to do with it, the attacker and another man took off at a
full run. I would have chased after him had I not seen her
boyfriend bleading from the chest, abdomen, face and arms. He
needed first aid right away. So we used whatver we could to plug up
his new holes and called 911. Today I heard in the news that the
stabbing victim was critical but stable in the hospital. No word on
the police catching the assailants. I made a statement to the
police quickly last night giving them a brief description of what
happened and my coordinates. Today I got a call from one of the
dectectives on the case who refered to me as the guy in the Kilt.
Apparently UK's stand out. I actually give my UK full credit for
scaring off the attacker. I can only imagine what went through this
guys head. Attackers thoughts "I am a crazy knife wielding maniac
but the guy in the skirt must be even more nuts, I am outta here!"
Cheers all! Chalk one up for the Kilted
Cliff in Ottawa
Hope I didn't violate any "rules" Just too cool...Dread...you have a Kilted Canadian brother in crimefighting!
