There doesn't seem to be any sizing system - other than "child's", "adult". Can anyone suggest one?

As most sporrans follow (in a notional way, often) the shape of a shoe for a heavy horse, perhaps a measurement for the throat and another for the depth would be enough?

As for the gussets, I usually use leather more than 2 1/4inches wide - what's the point of a sporran if you can't put stuff in it?

I've played with the idea of a mobile phone insert, but I gave up on it. The reason was that I don't want the legal liabilities of radiation damage to someone's private parts; and I couldn't come up with an effective shielding method. They are, after all, essentially microwave radios.

I recommend using a commercial belt pouch for the phones now, to be worn on the kilt belt (most of them are clip ons, and the others often have a carrying strap that will fit over a 2 1/4 inch belt).
