Hmmmm. We can't walk on the lakes here even when they ARE frozen much less when a thaw happens that leaves water on the top of the ice. We'll sink in and freeze / drown.
It does however remind me of my inlaws' house in Canada on the south shore of Lake St. Clair where we can certainly walk on the ice (or snowmobile or whatever). I wish everyone who is in the "snow" belt a warm and safe (cheap gas) winter.
