There is a "new" tribal Scottish pipe and drum band that has been formed up from members of the old Clann an Drumma.

The Albannach Band members are (l-r) Aya Thorne, Kyle Gray, Jacquie Holland, Donnie McNeill and Jamesie Johnston.

From the Albannach Web site -

"Albannach are not just another Scottish 'Pipes & Drums' band, indeed we bring a new and exciting form of music to your living room. A championship winning piper, an extremely talented main drummer, 2 bass drummers and a bodhran musician bring you a brand new approach to percussion and Celtic music. Our style of music is exciting, energetic and enchanting and we promise to leave you begging for more."

Albannach is appearing at the Sheriffmuir Inn, this evening, for the Battle of Sheriffmuir Commemoration. They will also be playing at the St. Andrew's Day Rally in Edinburgh on 26 November. More details about the Rally are located HERE.

The newly-formed band is working frantically to get a couple of CD's and a DVD if a live performance available, as soon as possible.

Keep your eyes on the Albannach Web site for more details.
