I wish both bands the very best, I suspect the music will be similar tho' there may be a need for a change of direction for Joe, musically.
Mike do you know what Albannach means? Alba=Scotland right?
Graham (Ah, I resisted the temptation this time!),
There is a large (and rather expensive!**) Scottish Wine/Cocktail Bar and Restaurant called 'Albannach' right on London's Trafalgar Square. Howie (TFCK) is currently in the throes of kitting out all the staff in corporate pin-stripe kilts. He is also staging a kilts fashion-show there early in 2006, to which I have been invited.
(** EG: Burns Nicht Supper: £80 pp. and St.Andrew's Night Buffet: £75 pp.)
Interesting point: our own Matt Newsome's website is called 'Albanach' - with one 'n'. Both spellings seem to be used extensively in Scotland (I've Googled both) - I wonder if there is any subtle difference when translated? Alas, although part Scot, I have no Gaelic.
