Hey Yall,
New to kilts, I wore one for St. Pat’s day last. I had told my boss that I wanted the day off and she politely declined my kind offer of not burdening her with my presence. I then said "Okay then, I'll come in a Kilt" She did not believe me, but come the 17th there I was (admittedly in a Sports Kilt) in all my kilted pride. The reaction was, to say the least, spectacular. Any time you can silence a hall full of 8th grade students is a special time. I had plenty of conversations about being Irish, why kilts were cool etc. I then wore again for Tartan Day, and again the Friday because it was my buddy’s birthday. I was starting to reach, but the comments I get and got are worth it. I now am waiting on a FK and got a UK from Ebay. (Survival, Basil AWESOME). I believe said kilt will be my travel companion up to Montreal; it is a pre-wedding celebration for a Firefighter Friend. It should be interesting.
Just Happy to find such a merry "Band of Brothers, for he who wears a kilt with me today is truly my brother." With apologies to Willie S.
