Have any vendor recommendations????
I'm a newbie kiltie with only one (soon it will be several) kilt purchased from Utilikilt at a street faire in Chicago. I hadn't realized the culture around kilts until I started shopping online for additional pieces. Needless to say, I've been pleasantly surprised at the openmindedness of most kilties. If the comfort isn't reason enough to wear a kilt, I'm quickly learning that the community is!!
At any rate, I've imagined/heard about how a good purchase can go bad. I can understand the reluctance to handle the returns/complaints aspect of ordering a kilt and I'd like to circumvent those issues. Basically, if anyone can offer suggestions on what/where are great places to purchase kilts, I'd greatly appreciate the input. I'm primarily interested in hipsters. As most of us are, I'm on a budget that doesn't allow for too much extravagance, so quality is a top priority.
Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I understand that the labeling on the kilt is important as well, but what else should I consider in my hunt to purchase kilts? I'm apprehensive with shopping online, but the internet seems to be my most abundant resource of retailers; I'd still prefer to have in person meetings w/ a kilt salesperson. Are there any in or around Chicago?
Thanks again, guys, for all the help.
