Weather has been wild and mild here. Wore the black heavyweight kilt to yesterday's court sitting at Duns, but needed a macintosh over it for stepping out between car and court office. Today weather was, if anything, even worse, with high winds and flooding on the roads and I decided to give the old pinstripe jacket and trousers a turn. That's me finished with the court now until 9th January, due to the Christmas holiday. On my way home I stopped only briefly to photograph the saltire fluttering wildly on the tower of Scottish Borders Council headquarters at Newtown St. Boswells - 1960's architecture and not the most photogenic of towers on which to fly a saltire! Three in the afternoon and already getting dark.
