Carlisle is the same blowing a gale & water everywhere, we have just got over a severe flooding two years ago,I hope it does not happen again.
Flying over Carlisle last Saturday (one of the few lulls between continuous storms) there was a lot of standing water in the fields upriver of Carlisle - and the Petteril appeared to have burst its banks where it flows into the Eden at the park - the water was nearly up to the rugby club; and there has been a lot more rain this week - the ground is very wet and can't absorb much more rain - I do hope the city doesn't flood again.
