GBS is from Canada. Newfoundland to be exact, and they do traditional Canadian Maritimes tunes fused with rock and folk - it's a little different than any traditional Scots that you may here, and mostly Irish influenced, but I agree they are definitely worth a listen. If you like very, very traditional regional tunes, there second-newest CD, The Hard and The Easy is outstanding.
