Hi, everyone...
Good to meet you all!
I'm a nun (Sister of St. Joseph) from Michigan (it is super cold and snowy these days!). I teach junior high and am currently back in school myself (studying systematic theology).
My ancestors (the MacArthurs) came from Isle of Skye (my family has always claimed our Irish roots staunchly, however).
I joined my local pipe band about a year ago, but am on hiatus until this semester ends. I've played the drums since the age of fourteen, but am certainly itching to learn the pipes (my ancestors were pipers).
I enjoy learning more about my heritage and have appreciated reading the great information available at Xmarks. And, of course, Kilts are fabulous! I'd love to see my little almost 4 year old nephew in a kilt of his own, but I don't suspect his non-Celt dad will allow it. My other brother-in-law, who is a 6'5" linebacker type fellow, told me he'd wear the kilt to work for St. Patrick's day, but it makes my sister a bit nervous!
Anyway, happy to be here!
