Actually, this is the first component of a rather large project I'm working on. It's the drive wheel for a late medieval Gothic chamber clock, the lines I've scribed for cutting out the teeth are visible around the edge, still needs some cleaning up. When it's done (assuming it works, of course) I'm giving it away as a gift to a couple very special friends.
Anyway, I was looking at it yesterday and was reminded of the XMarks pins.
