I left Ft. Lauderdale/Port Everglades on the HAL Maasdam and wore my three SKs throughout my cruise when clothing was required. I had nothing but compliments throughout my cruise (Bonaire, Curacao, Dominica, USVI and Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. I had many women in St. Thomas, give me glances that brought smiles to their faces. ;)
One man, asked me why I wore a kilt. I answered, "Do you ask all of the women who come in to your store, why they wear pants?" He thought that made sense. I then answered, that the kilt was a male garment, and that they were comfortable. He thought about it for a while, and then answered, "Yeah, I guess it allows you to be free." See, another one gets it!
I found the SK hiker to be very light in weight, but in 90F humid weather, perhaps my cotton one may have been cooler?
...and I was also, checked out by "ladies" <wink> but then, being on a clothing optional cruise, a body part is a body part. (We had to be covered if in the dining room for meals or when docked.)
