My Nanny is too sweet...
My wife and I just returned from a lovely visit at my grandparent's home. Both of my younger sisters are in-state and visiting them as well, so it was nice to see them (and my mom). We had a relaxing but great time together, especially sitting around talking about and looking at photos of my recent honeymoon to Ireland.
Just before leaving, Nanny (an "old school" Irish Catholic lady who's in her mid-80's) asked my mom why I was "so dressed-up" and then said (more like whispered), "Go on...you ask him." My mom replied, "No, Nanny, go ahead and ask him...he won't mind."
Her question: "So why do you wear kilts?"
My answer: "Because I like them and they're comfortable."
Her reply: "Well, then...I won't go trying to change you."
Aren't Grandmothers to die for?
FYI, here's how "dressed-up" I was today:
