With myself in my kilt & caubeen and wedding guests of every conceivable color, many in Sikh turbans, saris, or sherwani coats (and several yarmulkes), it had the flavor of a convocation of the UN. Both families were fantastically wealthy; I distinctly remember how the Indian folks would smile in the most open and friendly way to me, and the Americans completely ignored me like I was a servant holding the door for them.
Yeah, every one of them said something nice about my kilt and how nice it was that I took pride in my heritage.

No I didn't. The shirt was $40, the tie $20, the Jacket was $5.00. so I probably have about $125.00 in my ensemble, not including kilt pin and hose. The shoes are my old shiny Bates from Air Force ROTC.
