Hi Mr. MacDougall,

You are right - this is not my first "expensive" kilt (not that I think 8 yard, 16oz, hand-tailored kilts are expensive! I truly appreciate the skill, the experience, the devotion and the time that goes into both the weaving and the sewing of such garments - but I understand where you are coming from!).

Since I have 8 kilts from Geoffrey (Tailor), and a further 17 from TFCK which is part of the Geoffrey set-up, I suppose that is an indication that I 'prefer' Geoffrey's kilts. However, I tend to favour a number of kiltmakers - it all depends upon what kilt I am looking for. As for Kinloch Anderson: I have four of their Breacans, but I have never asked them to make me a full-blooded traditional kilt.

Other traditional kiltmakers I would not hesitate to call upon again include: Alex Scott of Aberdeen, KiltStore.net of Edinburgh, Albanach.com of the USA, Barbara Tewkesbury of the USA, La Maison du Kilt of Paris, and Cornovi of Cornwall.

For the record, I have non-traditional kilts from R-Kilts of Canada, USA Kilts, Freedom Kilts, Amerikilts, Utilikilts, Bear Kilts, Savannah Kilts and, of course, Union Kilts - amongst others. Again, I would return to these whenever I particularly want one of their individual styles.
