i think i did a bad thing....
was heading home earlier this eve from a night of theater in NYC - was still dressed on the work uniform of khakis & a polo shirt . Sat down on the subway to head for home & glanced at a fellow passenger, and what does he happen to be reading but a flyer from 21st Century kilts...
being the shy & retiring type, i venture over & embark in a conversation with said gentleman. Turns out he is considering buying a kilt - he had been interested in them for a while - he is considering a tartan 21st century model but with the current exchange rates it would be frighteningly expensive - so i i gave him the URL for here as a place to get more info on kilts & accessories & sources on this side of the pond... mentioned to him the Tartan Week festivities - which he missed and the comfort & other benefits of kilts etc
Here is the bad part - he then reveals that he works in fashion publishing & is considering writing a piece on kilts etc in a future mag (he didn't say which) so i hereby issue a mea culpa for the possible tarnishing of the tartan by popularizing it in the mass media and beg forgiveness of the kilted gods above

Cheers
