    Friday evening ceilidh

Friday evening following a parade on Main Street, Hunting McLeod and Albannach headlined a ceilidh in the amphitheater by the Reedy River. Both these bands are well worth seeing live. BTW Albannach has a DVD available from last year's Grandfather Mountain.

    Hunting McLeod opened:

Their music mixes pipes and fiddle with an electric "power trio" for some Celtic-style
    rockin'.

The guitarist and violinist will occasionally hop in unison to the beat, and get
    their pleats swinging rhythmically.

Later the piper got into the act (but he doesn't hop)

Hunting McLeod has a new 2-color logo, featured on their new T-shirts as seen above. I could not resist modelling it with their eponymous tartan, but my socks were a different color.
