As long as the water temperature is lower than 98.6, it's cooling off your body. If you're only in for a short time, that's one thing but if you're on a major expedition, you could very well get hypothermic and it does creep up on you. Please be careful.

Don't worry, I'm rarely out in cold water for longer than an hour. I may not like to fish in waders, but I do make sure to take care of myself. Felt-soled boots and cornstarch and all.

Now if only I could find a way to bring a portable sauna with me it would complete the fishing experience.
