This makes Glaswegians sound like a race apart from the rest of Scotland - in my experience you will find feisty, "have a go" folk all over. As to the security system - how far can you extend it? Airports all over the world have had drop off and pick up zones by the entrance, millions of such vehicle movements every year with no problems until now. If you stop vehicle movements near the airport you create travel chaos and if you restrict airport access to public transport what guarantee is that?

The instances are not exactly comparable, a plane in the air and a car on the ground are somewhat different things.
