After the Parade
Two ladies from church were very impressed with the kilt. They kept exclaiming, "That is so beautiful", "You look great", "I just LOVE it" (the kilt).
Then one said, "You look SO Scottish! Can you do the Irish jig for us?" (insert laughter here... Why would Scots do Irish jig??)
So, I proceeded to dance for them a bit and they were very pleased. Afterward, I told this story to another Sister, and said, "I danced, but I don't know the Irish jig, so I guess it was more like a Heidi-ish jig!" (Other than pipesndrumsnun, I'm known as Sister Heidi). She replied, "That's OK, those two ladies are Polish; they won't know the difference!"
(Disclaimer...this is not a "slam" against Poles...just a comment that they'd likely not be afficianados of things Irish.)
