Today is my day off and I was doing some errands. While I was leaving Lowe's after picking up some wood, I looked into my review mirror to back out to see a couple crossing and he taps his wife on the arm pointing to my bumper and smiling. I have plethora of bumper stickers and the one he was pointing to was my "Real Men Wear Kilts" sticker. He proceded to walk up to the side of the car with a huge grin and a thumbs up sign. Then, in a very nice Scots accents says, "you must have a Scottish connection" and tells me he an his wife are from Aberdeen and that he noticed my bumper sticker. He mentioned that "back home", the young men graduating are requesting kilts and getting married in them and it looks so nice. Then he sees my kilt and smiles even broader and says, "Oh, I thought they were tartan trousers, but you've got your kilt. Wonderful." All in all, they made my day with their enthusiasm for seeing an American kilted.
