Looking after fur sporrans in the rainy seasons
Every Autumn I start to worry about how my sporrans will hold up during the vast amount pf rain we get in Glasgow.
In the last few years I've found one thing that keeps both fur and leather sporrans in good condition no matter how rainy it gets.
Coconut oil.
It usually comes in blocks. Just take a small amount, rub it in your hands until melts down and then rub it into the leather and fur of your sporran.
Right afterwards your sporran will look rich and shiny like this

Just do this every fortnight or so, and it'll keep your sporran in great shape all season.
And the best thing is that for a block of coconut oil you'll pay about 8 dollars and it will last you all season.
