She's a "fence-sitter" on the subject of kilts:
On one hand, she is Scottish (on my side), and Irish (on her mom's), so she understands the significance. My family is quite proud of our history, she's quite familiar & comfortable with heritage matters. Plus, she has uncles & cousins who are kilted, so it's nothing new or astonishing to her.
On the other hand... she IS a teenage girl... so anything Dad does is square/weird/old/corny/etc. 
Outwardly, she rolls her eyes at me.
Secretly, I believe she thinks it's kinda cool.
