Plaid in Texas
I agree Texas is usually pretty mild. Summers are HOT! I have lived here 4 different times growing up and in the military. I think Texas "not getting cold" is a misnomer. Unless you're from Tuktoyektuk Canada. I live in Houston and have spent the last 3 winters scraping ice off of my windshields in the afternoons and bundling up in coats. Galveston got enough snow to make snowmen in 2005. The first time it had snowed in 100 years. I guess I brought the cold with me in '04. I bet I could find use for the plaide. HA!
