You have bravely tackled a tartan for your first kilt. I was a little more chicken, my first kilt is a solid black denim (14 oz.) I just got Barb T's Book, to learn what I did wrong. Next is the Tartan - an inexpensive P/V, before I try my skill on 53 pounds per metre real Scottish wool. -- Steve

I only paid 50 euros for two yards double length, so it was not that problem if it turn out to be unwearable. Robin just have 3 fabrics so he have a very special price! My next acquisition will be a Mcleod ancient 13oz for a 5 yards knife pleated kilt.
