I recently purchased a kilt from FC ordered on 11/24 and received on 11/28. Very fast.
I checked their online stock availability first. Typical for off the rack sellers, not just FC: “Many tartans available!” But of course only a third of them are in stock in my size. Hint: In this price range, you won’t sell what you don’t stock.
The kilt is Cameron -- they don’t say, but it is Cameron of Erracht rather than Cameron Clan. Pleated to the sett.
The kilt is enjoyable for the price, particularly the 3-inch deep pleats. Generally the other economy kilts I own are only two inches. It has more weight than I expected, a good thing. The lining is (unnecessarily IMO) sewn down at the bottom but this does not interfere with the hang (as it does in some other economy kilts).
I followed their sizing instructions -- and received a kilt that was slightly too big. Perhaps some of their kilts size down as they say but my particular example sizes up.
The straps and buckles were in my opinion very cheap. And WHY do some economy makers insist on the two right side straps being on the belt line? Under a belt. It makes no sense to me. I removed all of the straps and for the moment converted the kilt to Velcro. Much better. I may install decent straps in the correct positions later.
I’m awaiting delivery of one of their sale Black Watch kilts. Since this may be old stock I’ll find out if it sizes up or down. Another Hint: Not good to make your customers guess.
