Fastest kilt yet
2.5 hours so far. The apron is shaped, the pleats are in and sewn down (16 of them, this is a 4 yard) This material didn't need to be hemmed, Yay! The waistband is even partway in.
All that's left is the other two-thirds of the waistband and velcro closures. I estimate another 45-60 minutes and it'll be done.
This is a unique kilt. It's nothing like any other kilt I've ever made. It's completely and totally an experiment for laughs. I'd been thinking recently....time to break out of the same-old, same-old, so I just did. It's a unique fabric, a unique design in certain ways; just very different. The digital camera is at the In-Laws so no pics for a while but I will be sure to get some up in a couple of weeks.
