I removed the straps, "shaved" the back fur, and added a white vinal (so it will hang right) and belt attachment stuff. I overestimated the stiffening strength of the vinal, so I had to remove and move the belt stuff.
On my "to do" list is a few stuffed animal sporrans. Now, to find the RIGHT candidates . . .
How about a Hillary Clinton Halloween mask?...or, Obama..or McCain, depending on your politics.
