Yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon I met up with Martin (MartinGrenoble), by prior arrangement, at London Gatwick Airport, which is just up the road from Storrington. He was flying in from Southern Spain en-route to his home in France so the opportunity for a first-time meet was too good to miss. We had about three hours before Martin had to rush for his life, literally, to catch his connection. I DO hope he made it to Gate 22 in time but, as I received no cry for help or overnight accommodation, I assume he did! The last minute panic was entirely my fault as I, not being sure of the precise time he had to be at the Departure Gate, insisted on the obligatory photo shoot (I knew you fellows would never forgive me if I reported on this momentous event without a photo!).

Before that piece of drama, we enjoyed a light lunch with a drink and, a little later, a cup of coffee, and spoke of everything under the sun - indeed of "Cabbages and Kings", oh and kilts, of course! Hardly surprising and bearing in mind another passion we share, Scottish Country Dancing also came into our conversation.

It was a fascinating few hours, and I was truly delighted to meet such a really nice chap (Well, Martin is a kiltie, so he would be nice wouldn't he?!!) Anyway here are the two photos we snapped whilst he should have been hurtling towards the Departure Lounge:

No comment, Martin!

Take care,
Ham.
