We all know how us kilt addicts spend more money on accessories than we do klits...kilt hose, flashes, sporrans, jackets, etc.

I've found another branch of my kilt addiction flourishing...the kilt care side. Have already bought garment bags to keep the moths away from my wool kilts, and Order of the Gael fancy hangars to hang them right....

Now, I am the proud new owner of a Jiffy Steamer...floor model...puts out the steam! Works great on both my wool and PV kilts. Big unit. Hot steam! http://www.jiffysteamer.com/Products...steamerCatId=2

My big worry when I ordered it was that it would steam out the kilt pleats. Folks at the factory had no knowledge of steaming kilts. What I've found is that by turning the head sideways so its vertical, I can hold a pleat in place with one hand and put some pressure on it with the steam head and "iron" the pleat in place.

My old portable Stanley Steamer died some time ago and I got the Black and Decker Gizmo...but the steam release button locked up and I can't get it to work right...so hey...why not get a steamer that'll work better and last forever.

Ahhh, the finer points of kilt addiction....

Good news is this rig can do double duty with a brush attachment that'll help keep the crud down in my bachelor cave.
