Making a kilt with polyviscose fabric
I want to make a couple of kilts. The only fabric I can afford to use right now is polyviscose. I've located some Fraser tartan made with this material (Balmoral 65/35% , I think it was).
However, I also wanted some MacGregor as well, but the only place that had this type of fabric that I could find was a MacGregor Clan website. Next to the fabric description, they had mentioned that this fabric was not recommended for making kilts. I was wondering if this was added because it wouldn't be the traditional material? I know many casual kilt companies use the blend.
Anyways, like I said it's the only place I could find this MacGregor tartan in polyviscose and I was wondering if I should go ahead and try to use it anyways?
If anyone could help me locate some other options, that would be great. Thank you.
